Track Your Inspection

Once you have scheduled your inspection, visit https://inspections.polk-county.net/ to track your inspection. On the website, you will be able to see your inspector’s name, phone number and list of inspections, allowing you to see where on the list your permit is located.

Virtual Inspections

VuSpex is a tool that allows contractors to connect with Polk County Building inspectors quickly and powerfully while seamlessly integrating with Accela software. If you’re looking for information about virtual inspections or building inspections, we can help.

Contractors may schedule Polk County virtual inspections, upload pictures and videos, and/or request live video conferences to complete inspections remotely. This service, provided by the county’s Building Division, enhances efficiency while saving contractors time and money.

Air Handler

  1. Primary condensation drain and float switch
  2. Condensation drain line and “P” trap
  3. Secondary condensation drain line or overflow pan and float switch
  4. Size of heat strip as shown on data plate or written by technician (if applicable)
  5. Electrical Disconnect

Ducts and Duct Connections

  2. Heater is minimum of 18″ off ground or FVIR (Flammable Vapor Ignition Resistant)
