BARTOW, Fla., (July 17, 2009) -- The Polk County Board of County Commissioners Purchasing Division received the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) Award by the National Purchasing Institute.
This is the third consecutive year Purchasing has receive this honor. The AEP is designed to recognize organizational excellence in public or non-profit procurement.
The annual award is earned by organizations demonstrating excellence by obtaining a high score based on standardized criteria. The criteria are designed to measure innovation, professionalism, productivity, e-procurement and leadership attributes of the procurement organization.
