As of Tuesday, June 29th, 2010, the Governing Board of the Southwest Florida Water Management District revised the water restrictions for their governing area, Polk County being included. Based upon the revisions, effective July 1st, 2010, Polk County Utilities water restrictions are as follows:
- Lawn and landscape watering from groundwater sources are limited to Two Days Per Week. Please note that these restrictions apply to everyone with water supplied by Polk County Utilities, private wells, and surface water sources.
- On the designated day, one may only irrigate lawns and landscape between midnight and 10:00 A.M. or between 4:00 P.M. and midnight.
- Hand watering or micro-irrigation of landscaping, other than actual lawn areas, is allowed at any time.
Watering Schedule (Two Days Per Week) as Follows:

Reclaimed Water Customers
Note that your times and dates have also changed. Reclaimed water customers may water between midnight and 10:00 A.M. or between 4:00 P.M. and midnight, as follows:
- Even-numbered addresses may water on Thursday and/or Sunday
- Homes or businesses with Odd addresses may water on Wednesday and/or Saturday
- Properties where no address can be determined may water on Tuesday and/or Friday.
Please note that the watering days are now the same as for those using potable water, and have been changed from the previous schedule.
