The Human Services Department ensures that immediate and basic needs of qualified citizens are being met. It also invests in community assets that will enhance the quality of life in Polk County for today and for future generations.
The Human Services Department is responsible for the following divisions: Cooperative Extension Services, County Probation, Elderly Services, Healthy Families, Housing & Neighborhood Development, and Transit Services. Also included in the Human Services department are Adult Day Care, Veterans Services and Volunteer Services programs.
