Bartow, Fla. (April 10, 2024) — Polk County residents who are rate-payers to the Poinciana Water System are invited to apply for a position on the Tohopekaliga Water Advisory (TWA) Board of Supervisors. The TWA provides water and wastewater services in Osceola County and the Poinciana Water System.
Polk County is entitled to appoint one member to the TWA Board of Supervisors. In addition to being a user of the Poinciana Water System, the appointee must also be a registered voter.
The TWA Board of Supervisors sets policy and provides oversight of the utility. The Board meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 5 p.m. in Kissimmee; other meetings may be scheduled as required. Board members are appointed to a serve a three-year term. The term will begin following confirmation by the Board on May 7, 2024.
