Polk’s Bok Tower Featured in FAC Calendar

Published on Dec 15, 2020

Bartow, Fla. (Dec. 15, 2020) – The 2021 Florida Association of Counties calendar, themed Show Us Your Spectacular, includes a familiar Polk County attraction taken by a local photographer to represent the month of October.

The photo of Bok Tower was taken by Jeremy Maready, who works as the public information and media relations supervisor for Polk County's Communications Division.

"With people all over the world coming to experience our rich geographical and cultural history, the 2021 FAC Calendar highlights some of the most spectacular things to see and do while spending time in this great state," said FAC President and Palm Beach County Commissioner, Melissa McKinlay.

Association members selected the theme earlier in the year as an opportunity for counties to showcase the most unique sights in their local communities, whether that was beaches, art, architecture, or more. Following the selection of a theme, a photo contest was held among the entries in order to determine the calendar results.

With nearly 400 submissions, 15 entries were carefully curated for the 2021 FAC Calendar. They include:
