Polk Vaccine Hotline Open Saturday

Bartow, Fla. (Jan. 8, 2021) – The Florida Department of Health Polk County’s COVID-19 vaccine hotline will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9 for residents 65 years of age and older who want to be placed on a registration waiting list for the COVID-19 vaccine.

The vaccine hotline, (863) 298-7500, will then be manned on a regular basis for the foreseeable future from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Employees staffing the hotline will continue to register residents 65 years of age and older for a future vaccine appointment, as additional vaccine becomes available.

More than 5,400 individuals in Polk have received a COVID-19 vaccination so far. The Health Department received its first weekly allotment of vaccines Dec. 28.
