CSX Rail Crossing Repairs Closing Three Auburndale Streets on Monday
Published on Apr 29, 2021
Bartow, Fla. (April 29, 2021) —CSX Transportation repairs to three railroad crossings are scheduled to close Ariana Avenue, Derby Avenue and McKean Street in Auburndale on Monday. All three rail crossings are in the rail freight area between U.S. 92 (Magnolia Avenue) and Recker Highway near the Cutrale juice plant and neighboring warehouses and cold storage facilities. Repairs should take two to five days to complete and traffic will be detoured around closed crossings. Detours should be brief with minor congestion delays possible during peak-hour travel times. Commuters are advised to drive with caution, be alert to stopped truck traffic, and to add extra time to trips through this area.
Polk County regrets any traffic disruption motorists will face from these closures, but recognizes rail repairs are necessary and will make for better and safer driving conditions when completed. To report a rail crossing issue or complaint, contact CSX at (877) 835-5279 or TellCSX@csx.com.
