Published on Jul 30, 2020
Bartow, Fla. (July 30, 2020) — Starting Monday, a Polk County roadway improvement project will close the Johnson Avenue (County Road 580) and Power Line Road intersection in Haines City for three weeks to construct new left turn lanes and traffic signals along all legs approaching the crossroads. Improvements will promote safer turning movements and enhance traffic flow through the high-volume intersection in a fast-growing area.
Eastbound traffic along Jonson Avenue will detour at 30th Street to Hinson Avenue and westbound traffic will detour at Kalogridis Road to Hinson Avenue. Southbound traffic along Power Line Road will bypass work zone along Baker Dairy Road to 30th Street, while northbound traffic will divert at Hinson Avenue to 30th Street. Motorists are advised to drive with caution and add extra time to trips through this area.
