Polk County to hold virtual fair housing workshop

Bartow, Fla. (Nov. 24, 2020) – Polk County residents are invited to share their stories of housing frustrations and discrimination at an upcoming virtual community workshop to discuss fair housing.

The community workshop is scheduled from 6 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 1. Participants can join the workshop from their computer, tablet, smartphone, or phone.

Polk County is in the process of drafting an Assessment of Fair Housing, which will be an analysis of data, issues, identification of priorities, and goals related to fair housing requirements in Polk. This workshop will help educate the public about the assessment and provide an opportunity for anyone to participate in the fair housing planning process.
