Polk Seeks resident for IDA Board

Bartow, Fla. (April 5, 2021) — Advisory groups play a critical role in Polk County’s government. Some are required by state law and others were created by the Polk County Board of County Commissioners to act as advisors in specific areas. Polk County is currently looking for a resident to serve on the Industrial Development Authority.
The Industrial Development Authority works to ensure comprehensive planning and development of Polk County, its industry, commerce and business. Each member of the authority serves a three-year term and continues to hold office until a successor is appointed. The authority meets on an as-needed basis in Commissioners’ Conference Room, No. 407, located at the County Administration Building.
