Johnson Awarded United Way Citizen of the Year

Joy Johnson, relations administrator for Polk County’s Indigent Healthcare, received this year’s Citizen of the Year Award from the United Way of Central Florida.

The award recognizes an individual who went above and beyond for their community. Johnson who began her career with the Polk County Board of County Commissioners in 1997, also serves on United Way’s Health Steering Committee, 211 Steering Committee, the Community Impact Cabinet, the United Community Relief Fund selection committee and the Polk County Unites Selection Committee.
