Bartow, Fla. (May 31, 2022) — On Wednesday, June 1, CSX Transportation (CSXT) will remove and replace signal equipment at its rail crossing in the southbound travel lane of County Line Road at U.S. Highway 92 (New Tampa Highway) as part of a City of Lakeland intersection improvement project. Scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., work will require southbound traffic to detour easterly along U.S. Highway 92 to the Polk Parkway (State Road 570) or Airport Road (State Road 572) then southerly to Dranefield Road to bypass closure. Northbound traffic along County Line Road will be unaffected during work and closure. Detour is lengthy and tolling will be in effect along the Polk Parkway detour. Congestion and delays should be expected. Motorists are advised to travel safely and add drive time to trips through this area.
