Location of the incident or discovery: North Central Landfill property, the covered Southeast corner of the Phase V landfill cell.
Suspected source and cause of incident or discovery: A gas condensate sump overfilled and caused approximately 1000 gallons of liquid to discharge to the ground.

Amount of pollution, including substance or contaminant name(s): Estimated up to 1000 gallons of landfill gas condensate.

Any other information that may be helpful: Upon discovery, staff on-site immediately began clean-up at the affected areas. Water samples will be taken of the ditches and potentially affected pond. The site’s water quality sampling vendor has been notified to confirm that the stormwater quality was not adversely affected.
