Drainage

Polk County's Regional Drainage Section is divided into two programs, which include:

Roadway Maintenance:

  • Roadway Drainage Program
    Maintains and manages roadside drainage systems to support the safe operation of county roadways.
  • Drainage Operations Program
    Maintains, manages and restores Polk County's off-road drainage systems, including facilities outside of the public right-of-way within county owned easements.

Engineering/Project Management:

  • Regional Drainage (Community Investment Program)
    Develops, manages and implements Community Investment Program projects that correct drainage problems throughout unincorporated Polk County. This program also manages restoration projects and routine maintenance of regional drainage systems
