LANDFILL

North Central Landfill

The North Central Landfill is now to be used solely by commercial haulers. All haulers who enter the North Central Landfill will be required to wear proper PPE. Residents will be redirected to the North Central Transfer Station.

North Central Transfer Station

3131 K-Ville Road – Auburndale

Hours of Operation:

Monday to Friday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Saturday: 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Waste and Recycling has separate entrances for residents and commercial haulers to the North Central Landfill. The primary purpose of this change is to ensure the safety of our customers by separating large commercial vehicles from smaller personal ones. In addition to the safety benefit, customers will experience reduced wait times for disposal.

The North Central Transfer Station (NCTS) is open to Polk County residents to dispose of their waste materials more conveniently. The NCTS is open on the north side of the Landfill off K-Ville Road. The NCTS accepts cars, small trucks and utility or enclosed trailers. All other vehicles must use the North Central Landfill.
