2025 Campground Rules
Campground Fees*
*Fees are per night and are subject to change.
Water and electric: $20 per day
Primitive camping: $10 per day
- Primitive camping is tent camping only, with no water or electric. No RVs.
- There is no primitive camping at the Port Hatchineha Campground.
Dumping
- Registered campers: Fee waived
- Non-campers: $10 per dump
Port Hatchineha apartment fees: $70 per night (Two night minimum; 14 day maximum)
- Damage deposit: $70
- Maximum: 4 people per apartment
- No primitive camping sites available
Maximum Length of Stay
- Maximum length of stay per visit – 14 consecutive days
- After a stay of 8 or more days, camper must vacate that campground for 28 days
- Set a cumulative maximum stay in Polk County facilities of 100 days per year.
Rules and Regulations
- No reservations until more reliable internet becomes available.
- Campgrounds only accept cash or check until technological advancements allow for reliable connectivity.
- Failure to pay for stay will result in removal from the park.
- Must be 18 years of age to reserve a campsite and show valid ID.
- Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- One camping unit per site (tent or RV). Up to four people per unit.
- Station wagons, pickup trucks with shells, cars, self-modified campers/trailers, camper vans and passenger vans are not recognized as camping units.
- All recreation vehicles must be registered with the state and have a visible and up-to-date registration sticker on the camping unit.
- Checkout time is Noon.
- Any after-hours entry must be pre-scheduled with the Resident Park Caretaker and approval is contingent upon availability.
- Supervised outdoor fires are permitted in designated area only. No fires are permitted at Saddle Creek Campground.
- The following are prohibited: intoxicants, firearms, fireworks and weapons of any kind.
- ATVs, dirt bikes, golf carts and any other off-road/unlicensed vehicles are not to be operated on property.
- Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m
- No washing of vehicles, boats or trailers.
- Trash, including garbage, cigarettes, paper, cans, etc., should be placed in the proper receptacles.
- Grey water must be disposed of in the dump station only
- The use of “Blue Boy” containers is prohibited.
- Commercial vehicles and solicitations are not permitted in or from campground
- Pets must be on a leash, contained and controlled at all times.
- Campers failing to follow rules are subject to removal from park, trespass from the campground or the inability to utilize any county campground.
